Mean Girls JR.
Book by Tina Fey
Music by Jeff Richmond
Lyrics by Nell Benjamin
Based on the Paramount Pictures film Mean Girls

A fearless musical about chasing popularity and being true to yourself.

Welcome to our production of "Mean Girls, Jr." If you're wondering how we're adapting such a classic movie for a middle school setting, fear not - this is the fresh, new "junior version."
Crafted specifically for middle school aged performers, it maintains a balance of age-appropriate content, while still presenting technically and narratively challenging material.

The show delves into the daily challenges adolescents encounter, sparking necessary discussions about empathy and understanding. Despite addressing serious themes like peer pressure, bullying, body image, identity, gender, and orientation, it remains undeniably fun, brimming with humor, joy, catchy tunes, and timeless pop culture references from the original movie.

While the way characters talk about themselves and each other, and the corresponding language, might echo the raw realities of these struggles, our aim is to entertain while delivering a powerful message about treating others with kindness, care, dignity, and respect.

We deeply appreciate your support for our cast and crew as they navigate these societal issues through the dynamic medium of theatre.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I'm happy to help! -Jess McGettrick, Director, Day Drama

Please note: to facilitate faster entry to the theatre, please make sure you have an individual ticket QR code on a mobile device (preferred) or a clear printout of the complete QR code, for each member of your party.
Please contact support@teachtix.com with any ticketing questions prior to the night of the show.

Curtain will be at 7 PM, but parking around our building is in short supply, and we will have a full house, so we will likely experience a brief delay as we seat people.
Please use door #22 to enter the building - it is further down the driveway from the main doors by the flagpole and is conveniently located near the elevator and the stairs that bring you to the auditorium lobby on the second floor!
Running time is about one hour and twenty minutes, plus an intermission.
Refreshments will be available during the intermission but must remain in the lobby. Recycling bins and trash cans are in the lobby.
Restrooms are located in the auditorium lobby.
Please be sure to turn off all cell phones and any other electronics that might make noise or interfere with our wireless microphones!
Please keep the aisles clear as they will be used by performers and technicians during the show.
Enjoy the show! Thank you for being here with us.
