Freedom High School Theatre Presents

Book, Music & Lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein

Discover the incredible true story of 7,000 stranded airline passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. On September 11, 2001, 38 planes were grounded in the remote community of Gander, doubling its population overnight. As panic and uncertainty swept the world, culture clashes faded into unexpected camaraderie, music, and hope. Powered by a spirited Celtic-folk score, Come From Away is a joyous, heart-pumping musical about community, human connection, and finding light in the darkest of times.

Come From Away is an uplifting true story set against the backdrop of the September 11 attacks. The production contains adult language, emotional themes related to grief, anxiety, and loss, and references to religious bias, discrimination, and air disaster tragedy.

Recommended for audiences ages 10 and up.
