ACT 1: The Insanity of Mary Girard
The Insanity of Mary Girard, by Lanie Robertson, is the real-life story of a Philadelphia woman who spent the last 25 years of her life in a mental institution. In 1790, Mary Girard is committed to an asylum by her husband, who had her declared legally insane. Now, she sits in a chair as the "furies" dance around and attempt to convince her of her diagnosis.
ACT 2: District Showcase
This Act will consist of all the Individual Events that our students will be taking to the District V Thespian Festival.
The Insanity of Mary Girard contains mature subject matter and parental guidance is advised.
Event postponed to Monday, Nov 14 due to weather.
